On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi disseminated images of тАШDeepotsavтАЩ festivities in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, marking the occasion тАЬamazing, supernatural and unforgettableтАЭ.Ayodhya set a new world record of lighting over 22 lakh diyas on Diwali, said UP CM Yogi Adityanath.

The government of Uttar Pradesh reported that a minimum of 22 lakh diyas lit up the banks of the Saryu River at тАШRam Ki PaidiтАЩ spanning 51 ghats. The state officials announced the establishment of a fresh Guinness World Record, surpassing the record set the previous year. The number of diyas that were lit this year saw an increase of approximately 6.47 lakh compared to 2022.

Speaking to an audience at Deepotsav 2023, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, shared, тАЬWhen I first arrived in Ayodhya, I was greeted with chants of тАУ тАШYogi ji, take up the task, build the temple.тАЩ The moment has arrived. The temple stands completed and itтАЩs now time for AyodhyaтАЩs residents to prepare for January 22, a day that will go down in history. The current generation is perhaps the luckiest as they will experience the moment тАШwhen Lord Ram takes his place in the templeтАЩ (jab Ram Lalla virajman honge). This comes after a long anticipation of 500 years. Numerous Hindu monarchs, saints, and sages, including Ashok Singhal ji, Mahant Digvijaynath ji Maharaj, and others, dedicated their lives to the construction of a magnificent Ram temple.
